Jonathan Demme è morto oggi a New York per un tumore all’esofago; autore di almeno due capolavori assoluti come “Il silenzio degli innocenti” (1991) e “Philadelphia” (1993), e di tanti altri significativi film. Celebre la sua passione per il Rock coniugata in film musicali quali “Stop Making Sense” con i Talking Heads, “Neil Young: Heart of Gold”, “Neil Young: Trunk Show” e “Enzo Avitabile Music Life”.

Robert Jonathan Demme (Baldwin, 22 febbraio 1944 – New York, 26 aprile 2017) è stato un regista statunitense, premio Oscar alla Migliore Regia 1992 per “Il silenzio degli innocenti“.
